Robert Goldman

Founding Partner

Rob Goldman is an accomplished developer, entrepreneur, and restaurateur. As the creator, owner, and developer of Saint Theo’s and Venice Bar, Goldman fuses his food-forward philosophy with his entrepreneurial New York roots  while pairing his ability to connect unrivaled talent with an expertise in executing and building luxury spaces.

Prior to Saint Theo’s, Goldman worked at Sydell Group, developing award-winning hotels and F&B programs for the NoMad and NoMad Bar in New York City. In his tenure with Sydell Group, Nomad was awarded the prestigious James Beard Best Restaurant accolade along with San Pellegrino World's Best award-winning team led by Daniel Humm and Will Guidara. Goldman also developed the Freehand Hotel brand in Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York. Goldman and his family are the owners of the flagship Freehand Hotel at 23 Lexington Avenue in New York City as well as Gurney’s Resorts.

Goldman’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit is rooted deep. From his great-grandparents first business over 100 years ago in Brooklyn—Goldman’s Italian American Super Market—to his family Farm in Sagaponack, NY—Stone’s Throw— he honors the culture and business of food. Additionally, Goldman’s involvement at the board table of his family business BLDG and in the Joyce and Irving Goldman Family Foundation has helped to provide significant funding to food justice focused non-profit organizations including All Our Kin, Safe Passage Project, and many others. With a mission to produce, prepare and create, Goldman is committed to making positive contributions to the community that so greatly influenced him.
